PETROCHEMICAL Industry
Petroleum refineries and petrochemical plants use and produce a variety of combustible and toxic gases in the production process. The role of our products is to detect gas leaks from various sources including facilities and pipes, for monitoring gas concentration in production processes and for monitoring the working environment…etc. Portable or fixed gas detectors are chosen according to application. Recently, it has become popular to install fixed gas detectors at the plant perimeter to monitor gas leaks. The GX-3R, GX-3R PRO, GX-FORCE, GX-6100, EAGLE 2 are used in this industry for this monitoring.
CONSTRUCTION Industry
In the Construction Industry where people are working in confined space, there is a high possibility of encountering Oxygen Deficiency and Toxic Gases from decomposing organic matter. For example this can be found in underground sites where tunnels are being constructed. To prevent accidents or disasters, Riken personal gas detectors are worn by people working in confined spaces. The GX-3R, GX-3R PRO, GX-FORCE, GX-6100, EAGLE 2 are used in this industry for this monitoring.
MINING/ GAS
Numerous gases are associated with mining and are generally divided into combustible, toxic and asphyxiant types. Some of the more common gases encountered are methane, carbon dioxide (CO2), carbon monoxide (CO), oxides of nitrogen (NO, NO2), hydrogen sulphide (H2S) and sulphur dioxide(SO2). Our portable gas detectors are used to monitor these gases. The GX-3R, GX-3R PRO, SC-01, GX-6100 are used in this industry for monitoring.
SHIP Safety and Maintenance
Ships carrying crude oil, LNG, LPG…etc have a risk of gas leakage from cargo tanks during transportation. Riken detection technology enables gas leaks to be detected at an early stage, preventing possible explosion and pollution at sea. In addition, Riken portable gas detectors are used for monitoring the ship’s cargo tanks during inerting, the environment for combustible and toxic gases, as well as oxygen deficiency in Confined Spaces. The Beacon 410/800 alongside combustible sensors and SD-1 are used in the areas for fixed monitoring while the GX-3R, GX-3R Pro, SC-9000, GX-FORCE , GX-6100 or the EAGLE 3 are used for portable monitoring.
RESEARCH LABS and UNIVERSITIES
Various combustible and toxic gases are used in research facilities and universities. Installing Riken fixed gas detectors into each room ensures a safe working environment. Our analyser, capable of both X-ray (XRD) diffraction & fluorescence X-ray (XRF) analysis in the lab or on-site, has received a high reputation from researchers where removal of historical artefacts is prohibited from a site. AIRCRAFT MAINTANANCE
Aviation fuels consist of blends of over two thousand chemicals, primarily hydrocarbons (paraffins, olefins, naphthene's, and aromatics), additives such as antioxidants and metal deactivators, biocides, static reducers, icing inhibitors, corrosion inhibitors, and impurities, which are highly explosive, and Hydrazine (N2H4), which is highly toxic to humans. These gases need to be monitored to ensure safety as well as regular checks conducted on fuel tanks to ensure there are no leaks. Riken gas detectors are used to monitor these gases. The GX-6100 Benzine, EAGLE 3 are used in this industry for monitoring.
